We have already told you a little about TON Labs and some of its founders here and here. In continuation of the series of posts “Meeting the founders of TON Labs” today we will tell you the story of Dmitry Malyugin: we’ll say some words about his education, skills, career and role in TON Labs. Everyone’s welcome to get acquainted!
It is definitely not easy to find information about Dmitry: the only thing that Google gives out on a request about him is a link to a dry LinkedIn page and several websites connected with the Free TON ecosystem. No social media accounts (at least registered in his real name) were found. Well, let’s be thankful for small mercies and carefully examine what we have:
In 2007 Dmitry entered the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation for a specialist program in Finance and Credit. He received his diploma 5 years later, in 2012, while also studying from 2010 to 2014 at the international program “Banking and Finance” at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dmitry started his career during his studies. From January to March 2011, he was an intern at Alfa Bank, and from August to October of the same year, he decided to try his hand at consulting, becoming an intern at Ernst & Young. He further continued his development in this area, having completed a 5-month internship at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, mainly engaged in market research and analysis of separate industries. After that, he applied for the position of a consultant at KPMG Russia, continuing his professional career in the direction set during the last internship. However, Dmitry worked at KPMG only from May to June 2012 – for 2 months – and in November of the same year he became an employee of the Private Family Office, of which he is the head nowadays. Its headquarters is located in Mexico City, and the firm specializes in providing financial services.
In 2017 Dmitry became co-founder of TON Labs. At the company, he is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for operations and finance. The key to successfully fulfilling these duties lies his skills: asset management, market entry, business valuation, market analysis, corporate finance, business strategy and others.
